The Steamer Belle was built in 1894 at a boatyard
in Kingston upon Thames. She sailed under steam around Lands
End, up the Bristol Channel to Worcester, where she plied the
River Severn for over eighty years.
In 1980 this famous steamer was rescued from oblivion
by The Maidenhead Steam Navigation Company, who brought her
to their yard at Brentford.

Belle has been lovingly restored to her original splendour and
infinite care has been taken to establish an authentic Edwardian
décor in the saloon and throughout the boat.
The Edwardian splendour of the Belle is the perfect
setting for Weddings, Anniversaries, Parties and Receptions
of all kinds.
The Belle is licensed to carry 100; however, for
optimum comfort we recommend a maximum of 70 people, in particular
when a
buffet or jazz band is to be provided. The Belle has
every modern convenience aboard, including full central heating,
and is equipped with a full-length canopy to protect you from
any inclement weather. All year round, regardless of the weather,
the River Thames proves as idyllic and romantic a setting as
you will find anywhere to entertain friends, relations or business
associates.
The Belle carries a fully-stocked bar and is
able to provide catering to suit every taste. The Belle has
been restored with business as well as social clients in mind,
and so The Maidenhead Steam Navigation Company is delighted
to be able to offer a truly unique setting for your business
meetings - whether they be regular internal review or planning
meetings requiring the sustained attention and active participation
of all members, or external product launches, detailed negotiations,
or as part of a Corporate entertainment programme.

and music can be tailored to suit your particular requirements.
